Since 2000, Adam ‘Evo’ Petipas has been playing clubs and lounges from coast to coast, seamlessly mixing funk, hip-hop, soul, brazilian beats, reggae, breaks and drum & bass. Evo has shared the stage with many international and local artists such as Afrika Bambaataa, DJ Vajra(The Procussions), Ali B, Mat The Alien, Vinyl Richie(Wicked Lester), Neighbour, U-Tern and DJ Vadim. His most recent residency is The Payback, a weekly night of funk, breaks and beyond. Outside of the club scene, Evo hosted internet radio show, The After Dark Sessions, on Whereveradio.com. Evo also works in Canada's premier record shop Beatstreet Records(www.beatstreet.ca) allowing him to keep his ears to the freshest, newest independent music out there. Evo’s major influences include James Brown, Mr. Scruff, ColdCut, A-Skillz and DJ Yoda. Watch for Evo’s upcoming live and studio work, new residencies, as well as a new podcast.
